- Switch off your iPhone 5C:

- Remove screws:

Unscrewed the two screw present at your iPhone 5c dock connector. These two screws are known as the security screw as it keeps the screen with the frame.

 

- Detached screen carefully:

1- With the help of small pentalobe screwdriver (frequently used by Apple) opens the two screws at the right bottom of the home button.

2- Now take the suction cup and place it on the bottom half of the screen.

3- If the screen is badly damaged and the suction cup is not stick on it then cover the broken screen with tape before using the suction cup.

4- When the suction cup is smoothly stick on the screen then pull it gently. By doing this firmly, the screen starts to remove from the frame.

5- Once the screen is starting to detach then loosen the screen by sliding the pry tool slowly at the bottom of the screen.

6- Doing the same sliding process on the other sides of the screen slowly to loosen the screen.

7- Now put the bottom part of the iPhone 5C and smoothly lift the screen up by making an angle of 90 degrees. But don`t remove the screen completely as it is still connected to some wires.

8- Remove the metal plate that is inside the top right corner of iPhone 5C by opening the screw.

9- After removing the metal plate, there are three ribbons that connect the screen and phone together. Remove that ribbons too by using fingertips and lift up the screen.

10- There is another metal plate that is visible after lifting up the screen. You should remove it by using a pentalobe screwdriver.

11- Then start removing the metal plate that covers the home screen button, slowly with a pentaloble screwdriver.

12- The Last thing in this step is to remove the back plate through pentalobe screwdriver by opening all four screw gently.

 

- Battery replacement time!

1- Now unscrew the two screws that keep the battery attached to the cable by using the screwdriver.

2- Now replace the battery shield gently.

3- Then use the tool in order to pry the cable of the battery.

4- Now unfold the adhesive tab (that at the lower side of the battery and above the dock) with the help of spudger tool.

5- Make a cut in the centre by pulling the tab slightly outward.

6- Start pulling adhesive slowly from the left side. You hear the cracking noise that means the adhesive is adhesive is coming from the casing.

7- Pulling the sideways slowly and carefully without damaging any component. Repeat the same step for the right side.

8- While pulling put your finger along the battery as it also lifts up with the adhesive.

9- After removing both sides of the adhesive strip, slightly take out the old battery.

10- Now place the new iPhone 5C battery.

11- Replace the detached battery cable from the logic board.

12- Replace the remaining components that are the battery shield and the two screws.

- Reconnect the detached components:

Screwed all the components that you are detached to replace the battery that is the cables of the assembly, that four screw, and the screen. After doing this place the screw in the dock and screwed them by the tool. Then use your iPhone 5c with the new battery.
