9. After removing the metal plate, there are three ribbons that connect the screen and phone together. Remove that ribbons too by using fingertips and lift up the screen.
10. There is another metal plate that is visible after lifting up the screen. You should remove it by using a pentalobe screwdriver. As the old damaged display screen is removed, then you need to transfer components and sensors to the new display screen. For this you can do:
11. Remove the top right screw that connects touch id sensor with it. Also, remove that metal guard that is underneath and place it safely as you need to replace it again.
12. Then detach the shield that covers the home screen button by removing the two screws on it. After detaching set metal shield aside.
13. Then by using spudger tool, remove the home button assembly carefully as it is not damaged the cables that attached touch id sensor.
14. Now by reversing the detaching process, replace the home button assembly along with touch id sensor cable to the new display screen. Now it’s time to transfer earpiece, front camera, and heat shield from old screen to the new one.
15. Remove earpiece and bracket by unscrewing two screws that are placed at the top of the assembly. You can also remove heat shield by removing the screw that is also placed on the right side.
16. Now slightly pull earpiece and bracket from the chip and put them aside.
17. At the contact of the frame, there is the front camera assembly cable, unfold that cable and pull it gently from the frame.
18. Now remove the four screw to completely detach the heat shield.
19. After doing this all you can detach all the components present on the old display screen. Replace all these components on the new display screen by reversing the process of detachment. When you complete all the above steps successfully then place the new display screen the iPhone 5s in the same way as you remove the old one. Then turn on your iPhone 5s and check the results.
